In which segment and since when have you been doing business?

I work as a beautician, I gradually took a massage course and also a course for the correction of the musculoskeletal system. The salon is located in Petržalka, not far from the polyclinic on Šustekova. I have been in business since 2022.

Do you remember your beginnings?

I am a trained beautician, but I also worked in the health sector. However, I lost my job during Covid and my current job no longer created suitable conditions for me, so I decided to go my own way and open my own business. The clients supported me in this, I had very positive feedback. Of course, it had its advantages and disadvantages, but the situation led me to this decision.

You had the advantage that your clients moved to your new salon. Was it so?

Not all of them went, because I had my original job in another city, so I practically started from scratch.

Did you do all the services you offer from the very beginning? Cosmetics, massages, repairs and much more?

Thanks to my former job, I had a lot of experience, but I completed my training in physiotherapy, or massages, which I always enjoyed a lot. The beginnings were difficult, as in almost every new business. I visited other similar salons a lot in order to be able to adequately set prices to match the level of services provided. It is very important for me to offer high-quality procedures, precisely performed work that corresponds to the price. For example such a buccal massage can be "sloppy" very easily, but I take care, because the clients' satisfaction is priceless.

Do you think doing business nowadays is easier thanks to various technologies and possibilities? Did you want to start your own business earlier, but for some reason you started it only now?

People contact you via WhatsApp, Instagram, social networks, which takes up an extremely large amount of time when you are constantly dealing with deadlines, arguing and writing. That's why I'm grateful for your reservation system. I experienced it for the first time at a dental hygienist and it inspired me a lot. So this technology, specifically Booqme., helps me a lot and saves me time. Since morning, I did nothing else but hold the phone in my hand. I am with people all day and when I could have time for myself, I had to deal with new deadlines. I couldn't separate myself from work. People often have no boundaries and are able to write even on the weekend at eleven o'clock in the evening.

Booqme for now. it fits as it is. Of course, the BUSINESS package has more functions, so I plan to pay for it, but it already has everything you need. For example, also ratings from customers.

For a more comfortable life. (laughs) People are on the phone a lot anyway, and it's easier to make appointments through the reservation system than through the diary.
